Errachidia, in the pre-Saharan region of Tafilalet in southeastern Morocco is located in the Ziz Valley, between the High Atlas Mountains and desert sand hills in a landscape of rocks and stone fields. An oasis of 45,000 inhabitants in the desert, the city preserved from foreign influences forms a unique setting. The many date palms behind the ramparts and the sometimes snow-capped red mountains contrast with the sand dunes.
Pick up by a guide of our Descubrir Morocco 4×4 team in your hotel in Errachidia. We will start our way towards Erfoud, You will have several stops along the way, one of them will be a panoramic view of the palm of Aoufous, located along the Ziz River. Arriving to Erfoud and crossing the track to reach the hotel located at the foot of Merzouga dunes. We leave the suitcases and what we will not use at the desert and we will leave in a caravan of camels for about an hour and a half, which will take you to the tents in the heart of the desert. Then we will climb the dunes to watch the sunset. Dinner in desert camp, with live music and a bonfire, where we can dance and contemplate the stars.
You will get up early to enjoy the spectacular sunrise from the top of a dune. Then you will take the camels back to the Hotel, where you can wash and have breakfast. After breakfast we can enjoy the morning in the desert by visiting the nomad families, the village of Khamlia where you will see live music playing an have a tipical morocco tea. We will continue on our way to Errachidia passing through Rissani, where we will stop to visit the traditional medina which is considered the largest in the South of Morocco. We will eat at Rissani and continue on our way to Errachidia and End of our services.
